Day 01

June 25

  1. An introduction to the event, outlining the objectives for the two days and setting the context for discussion across buyers and suppliers. This session will frame the key themes of legislative change, operational delivery and collaboration within the In-tend community.

  2. SEMINAR

    An opening keynote exploring how public procurement is evolving in response to legislative change, digital development and shifting market expectations. This session will consider what effective procurement looks like in practice and how buyers and suppliers can prepare for what lies ahead. Attendees will gain insight into current priorities, emerging challenges and the direction of travel across the sector.

    Hear from buyers who have implemented system integrations to strengthen oversight, improve reporting and support Payment Compliance and Section 70 obligations.

    Rob Amor, joined by In-tend's Damien Roberts and Rob Nicholson, will explore practical considerations, lessons learned and outcomes from real projects. The session will highlight how integrated systems can improve transparency, enable more accurate compliance reporting and enhance governance. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of what integration involves and how it can support both operational control and statutory requirements.

  5. BREAKOUT

    This practical demonstration will show how suppliers can use Sell2UK to search for relevant public sector opportunities and monitor activity in their market. Lauren will walk through key features including advanced search tools, saved searches, opportunity tracking and email alerts. The session will also cover how dashboards can be used to maintain visibility of live tenders and deadlines. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how to use the platform effectively to stay informed and responsive.

    This panel focuses on the transition to the Procurement Act and how implementation has been managed in practice. Ivana Gordon will share perspective from within government, including how the framework has been adapted, key areas of focus and where challenges have emerged. Steve will moderate the discussion, reflecting sector experience and common pain points raised by buyers and suppliers. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how the transition is being handled and what it means operationally.

    An update from the Cabinet Office outlining current legislative developments, recent Procurement Policy Notes and national priorities. This session will provide clarity on policy direction, how PPNs are intended to be applied in practice and what organisations should be preparing for next. Attendees will gain insight into how procurement legislation and associated guidance are being embedded across the public sector, and the implications for buyers and suppliers.

  10. BREAKOUT

    This session examines the increased use of Artificial Intelligence to complete tender responses. We will look at its current limitations and issues, as well as any official stance from government, along with examples of areas where unsupervised responses could harm chances of success. Attendees will gain a better understanding of ideal use cases for AI and where professional judgement remains essential

  1. SEMINAR

    A detailed session examining how recent legislative developments are being applied across the sector. This presentation will explore practical implications for buyers and suppliers, highlighting areas that require attention and preparation. Attendees will leave with greater confidence in understanding how the regulatory framework applies within their organisation.

    This discussion explores the role of e-Senders following the introduction of the Procurement Act 2023. The panel will examine how responsibilities have evolved, how systems and processes have adapted, and where practical challenges are being experienced by both buyers and suppliers. The session will address transparency requirements, data considerations and operational expectations under the new framework. Attendees will gain insight into how e-Sender responsibilities are being managed in practice and what this means for day-to-day procurement activity.

    An overview of recent and upcoming developments within the In-tend platform, including embedded AI across evaluation, predictive analytics, supplier and spend management, the introduction of the AI-powered Contract Clause Compiler, enhancements to the e-Catalogues buying environment, and the national rollout of the In-tend HUB. This session will outline what has changed, what is being introduced next and how these developments support compliance, transparency and day-to-day procurement activity. Attendees will gain clarity on how platform evolution aligns with legislative requirements and the operational realities facing modern procurement teams.

  6. BREAKOUT

    This session aims to discuss the changes brought about by the new Public Procurement Act 2023 since it came into force last year and compares a number of its provisions to the previous regulations in areas such as standstill, assessment summaries, its permitted procedures and routes to market as well as its new overarching government objectives and the language used.

  7. BREAK

  8. A closing session bringing together the main themes and practical takeaways from across the two days. This discussion will highlight common challenges, areas of focus and opportunities for continued collaboration within the user community.
